LINING FABRIC - A soft yet durable fabric with a brushed finish. It is used for jacket linings and inside of collars and inner storm flaps to prevent chafing. TAFFETA 230 denier nylon that is used in both coated and uncoated forms. The coated form is treated with polyurethane to resist water penetration and is predominantly used on snowskirts and gaiters. It is used in both embossed and solid colour versions. SILKY REVERSE TRICOT 100% polyester micro-yarns woven in a raised rib effect. Used on centre back panels on jackets and front panels of pants. INSULATIONS - Special thermal bonded fibres provide a high level of warmth at minimal weight. The insulation is soft, flexible and durable. |
WEATHER PROOFING - Cold-proof function finish is added during the coating process. It enables the fabric to keep its original flexibility against extreme conditions preventing stiffness in cold, harsh weather conditions. DWR COATING Durable Water Repellency is an invisible protection layer on the face of the outershell that provides maximum water repellency and is stain resistant. This helps keep the garment comfortable and dry in wet conditions. FULLY TAPED SEAMS Every seam in the jacket and pant is taped to create the ultimate seal against wind and snow. PU COATING A polyurethane coating that is applied to the underside of the fabric that provides excellent water resistance. WATERPROOF/BREATHABLE Micro-porous coatings that are laminated to the underside of fabric. Invisible to the naked eye, the pores are large enough to allow perspiration vapour to escape, but small enough to create a weather-proof seal against rain and snow. |
